The Black Girl Burnout podcast is dedicated to helping black women learn how to opt out of the mentality of struggle while also learning how to opt into a life of joy, abundance, and good health, which is their birthright. Burnout can manifest in a variety of ways, including feelings of exhaustion, cynicism, and a lack of accomplishment. It is totally ok if you are experiencing more than one of the feelings at the same time. Being able to fully align with your truth is a significant sign of strength.
Enemies of the power of the pause, such as urgency and comfort-seeking, can lead to short-term thinking and trading off long-term joy for short-term comfort. However, starting the workday with a mindful activity or taking a moment to enjoy a cup of coffee or tea can help cultivate stillness and lead to clarity and peace. Let today be the day that you say NO MORE to all versions of the struggle.
