EPISODE SUMMARY

In this episode, host Kelley Bonner explores the importance of Opting Out of False Narratives. In today’s society, false narratives can be prevalent in many areas of our lives, including romantic relationships, family dynamics, and the workplace. Black women, in particular, are disproportionately affected by these narratives, which can be harmful to one’s mental health and self-image. Stay tuned til the end, to learn more about today’s homework assignment. You will be so glad that you did 🙂

The Black Girl Burnout podcast is dedicated to helping black women learn how to opt out of the mentality of struggle while also learning how to opt into a life of joy, abundance, and good health, which is their birthright. Burnout can manifest in a variety of ways, including feelings of exhaustion, cynicism, and a lack of accomplishment. It is totally ok if you are experiencing more than one of the feelings at the same time. Being able to fully align with your truth is a significant sign of strength.
