EPISODE SUMMARY

In this episode, host Kelley Bonner discusses the importance of Opting Out of Glorification of Busy. Sometimes busyness can become a defense mechanism that becomes invoked when we don’t want to deal with something that is happening in our lives. This well-known method of avoiding life can easily tip into a struggle mentality. This episode is for you if you are ready to embrace the act of intentionally taking breaks. Stay tuned til the end, to learn more about today’s homework assignment. You will be so glad that you did πŸ™‚

The Black Girl Burnout podcast is dedicated to helping black women learn how to opt out of the mentality of struggle while also learning how to opt into a life of joy, abundance, and good health, which is their birthright. Burnout can manifest in a variety of ways, including feelings of exhaustion, cynicism, and a lack of accomplishment. It is totally ok if you are experiencing more than one of the feelings at the same time. Being able to fully align with your truth is a significant sign of strength.

EPISODE HIGHLIGHTS

We don’t want to glorify being busy as a way to avoid being honest about the relationships we have in our life, platonic, familial, romantic, any of those relationships. Be careful that we’re not doing that because that keeps us disconnected and ultimately isolated and lonely. Let today be the day that you say NO MORE to all versions of the struggle.
