The Black Girl Burnout podcast is dedicated to helping black women learn how to opt out of the mentality of struggle while also learning how to opt into a life of joy, abundance, and good health, which is their birthright. Burnout can manifest in a variety of ways, including feelings of exhaustion, cynicism, and a lack of accomplishment. It is totally ok if you are experiencing more than one of the feelings at the same time. Being able to fully align with your truth is a significant sign of strength.

EPISODE HIGHLIGHTS

So the first step to having a soft morning is how you wake up. In the perfect world, we’re all waking up without an alarm clock, but in the reality of which many of us are living, change your alarm clock to something that is gentle. That’s something that wakes you up softly and that could be anything from a Fitbit or Apple Watch. Sometimes they wake you up with gentle buzzing all the way to different alarm clocks that use light, that use gentle noises. Make sure that you wake up softly, like you literally open your eyes to something soft, and that’s something you can invest in or look to do no matter what your circumstances are.
