The Black Girl Burnout podcast is dedicated to helping black women learn how to opt-out
of the mentality of struggle while also learning how to opt into a life of joy, abundance,
and good health, which is their birthright. Burnout can manifest in a variety of ways,
including feelings of exhaustion, cynicism, and a lack of accomplishment. It is totally ok if
you are experiencing more than one of the feelings at the same time. Being able to fully
align with your truth is a significant sign of strength.
GUEST HIGHLIGHTS: Mayyadda
Mayyadda is a singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer from Minneapolis who aspires to use her music to make people slow down, find themselves in another perspective, and feel their way towards individual and collective healing. with an eclectic mix of neo-soul vocals, folksy guitar, pop-style piano with trap beats sprinkled in for flavor, she likes to refer to her genre as, “BlackGirlMagic.”
She has been active as a recording artist since 2015, releasing six projects since then. Most recently, she released Try & Remember: the acoustic album, a continuation of 2021’s Try & Remember with acoustic renditions of some fan favorites and three brand new songs.

When you center yourself in wellness and take care of who you are, out of that comes everything. Once you embrace that struggle is not your birthright, and fully believe that there’s a way to get out of that mentality, it will be easier to receive that consistent self-care positions you to allow joy and abundance into your life.
