EPISODE INFO
PODCAST RUNTIME: 16 Minutes
GUEST: Dr. Jeanette Davis (Dr. Ocean)
EPISODE SUMMARY
In this episode, host Kelley Bonner rounds out this three-part discussion by addressing ways to effectively opt-out of situations and relationships that no longer serve you in your professional life. Kelley and Dr. Davis cover the transition from being addicted to being seen, to intentionally choosing not to be seen, to finally being able to fully live in the light of your purpose. Remember, the ultimate goal is to understand that the process of “opting out” is an ongoing collection of disciplined actions, not simply one-time destination.
The Black Girl Burnout podcast is dedicated to helping black women learn how to opt-out of the mentality of struggle while also learning how to opt-into the life of joy, abundance, and good health, which is their birthright. Burnout can manifest in a variety of ways, including feelings of exhaustion, cynicism, and a lack of accomplishment. It is totally ok if you are experiencing more than one of the feelings at the same time. Being able to fully align with your truth is a significant sign of strength.
