EPISODE SUMMARY
In this episode, host Kelley Bonner discusses the importance of Opting Into Meaningful Apologies.ย We live in a world where people just don’t say sorry enough from a place of true sincerity. Earlier this week we addressed the fact that we often overuse the word sorry to the point where it loses its meaning. However, today we will explore healthy ways to say that you are sorry without going overboard with explanations. This episode is for you if you would like to learn how to offer a sincere apology, when necessary, without centering yourself. More, more, and still more is within your reach in 2023. Stay tuned til the end, to learn more about today’s homework assignment. You will be so glad that you did ๐
The Black Girl Burnout podcast is dedicated to helping black women learn how to opt out of the mentality of struggle while also learning how to opt into a life of joy, abundance, and good health, which is their birthright. Burnout can manifest in a variety of ways, including feelings of exhaustion, cynicism, and a lack of accomplishment. It is totally ok if you are experiencing more than one of the feelings at the same time. Being able to fully align with your truth is a significant sign of strength.
EPISODE HIGHLIGHTS
When we go overboard with giving explanations about how bad we feel, and we make it all about ourselves, we don’t really hold ourselves accountable in a way that mends or repairs a damage. When you remove yourself from the center of the apology while sincerely expressing your feelings, the apology will have more meaning. Let today be the day that you say NO MORE to all versions of the struggle.
