PODCAST RUNTIME: 16 Minutes
In this episode, host Kelley Bonner encourages you to bring all forms of cynicism to a full stop in your life. All too often the trials of simply being a Black Woman in America have conditioned us to become cynics in order to survive. However, this is just another way that we keep ourselves tied to “struggle”. We need to stop saying not to ourselves and instead start allowing ourselves to explore ways in which we can arrive at the life that we deserve in our work and personal lives. This episode is for you if you are ready to opt out of cynicism and opt into healthy curiosity. Stay tuned til the end, to learn more about today’s homework assignment. You will be so glad that you did 🙂
The Black Girl Burnout podcast is dedicated to helping black women learn how to opt-out of the mentality of struggle while also learning how to opt-into the life of joy, abundance, and good health, which is their birthright. Burnout can manifest in a variety of ways, including feelings of exhaustion, cynicism, and a lack of accomplishment. It is totally ok if you are experiencing more than one of the feelings at the same time. Being able to fully align with your truth is a significant sign of strength. The ultimate goal of the podcast is to help women achieve Opting Out of Struggle.
Did you know that opting into revenge is just another way of opting into struggle? Did you know that bringing harm to someone does not feel nearly as good as it feels to allow joy into your life? If you open yourself up to opting out of being committed to pain, and rather choose to opt into allowing no one to steal your joy, your life will be forever changed. By working through the exercises that Kelley suggests, you will be able to release the things that are holding you back from exiting the vicious cycle of revenge. Let today be the day that you say NO MORE, to all versions of the struggle.
